Watercolor Christmas Tags

The following is a blog post that I created for the Stampin' Up! Corporate  blog. Now that it has posted there, I'm sharing these quick tags here for you to enjoy!

Hello there! I’m here today to share some simple and quick Christmas tags with you that also pack a creative punch. Even though it’s close to Christmas, you can still complete several of these for your gift wrapping needs or make a set with a gift box to give as a simple gift. Let me show you how.

Here is the whole set together. If you’ve ever seen my projects, you know that I love using water and Stampin’ Up inks to create various watercolor looks. By using a simple watercolor technique and the Layering Squares Framelits Dies, these tags came together quickly. Also, hopefully you’ve seen the beautiful Christmas Pines Photopolymer Bundle with coordinating stamps and dies. I chose to focus on the stamp set only for these projects.

Artisan Design Team - It's a Celebration!

Hello and welcome back! Today is my last blog hop as part of the 2015-2016 Stampin' Up! Artisan Design Team (sniff, sniff). I can't tell you what an amazing time I have had this year getting to know these 20 amazing women, and creating with them. I don't know about you, but I have been proud and impressed by what we've done this year. I hope you have followed along, enjoyed our posts and found something to inspire you in your crafting. This week, we're featuring the Frosted Medallions and It's a Celebration stamp sets as well as the Hello December Project Life Card Kit. Also, our projects will be posted to the Stampin' Up! Corporate Facebook page on Friday. Please keep hopping through all 20 of us so you don't miss a thing! Be sure to use something like Google Translate for those blogs not in your native language. Also, you can find all of our projects for the year in one easy place, on our Pinterest board. You might have just arrived from Krista Frattin, and I know you loved her beautiful project as much as I did.

I decided to use the It's a Celebration stamp set to make two New Year's cards. I'm ending the year using two of my favorite techniques, and sharing projects that I feel represent my style. I used emboss resist, watercolor, sponging, as well as sequins, ribbon and metallic thread (some of my favorite embellishments). Let's take a closer look.

Artisan Design Team - Tin of Tags Banner

Hello and welcome back! It's time for the next Artisan Design Team blog post, and this is an open week meaning we can use any of the products we received for this quarter. You're in for a treat because we have so much talent and so many different styles represented by these 20 women from around the globe. And on top of their talent, they are fun and fabulous as well. Please keep hopping through all 20 so you don't miss a thing! Be sure to use something like Google Translate for those blogs not in your native language. Also, you can find all of our projects for the year in one easy place, on our Pinterest board. You might have just arrived from Krista Frattin, and I know you loved her beautiful project as much as I did.

This week I decided to use the Tin Of Tags Project Kit to make something besides tags for presents. I thought it would be fun to make a holiday banner! I love how it turned out. If you're a demonstrator, this would be a great class project as it uses 1/3 of the tags. So, you are still able to make two sets of tags as designed originally in the kit! I added just a few supplies to the kit itself to complete the banner.

Here are the two cards I created for this month's Stampin' Up! Facebook projects. I found this beautiful picture on Instagram of a white building with emerald green tiles and a deep blue sky. That inspired my color combo for these projects.
