Fancy Friday - Annual Holiday Mixer

Hello and welcome back! It's time for this month's Fancy Friday Blog Hop. I'm here with my fancy friends (all current or former members of the Stampin' Up! Artisan Design Team). This month the challenge was to use something from the Annual catalog and something from the Holiday catalog together to create our projects. You'll love what you see tonight on our fancy blog hop. We also have a Pinterest board that you can follow. You might have just arrived from my friend Jennifer's Blog. She always shares such amazing things!

If you've been wondering where I've been, I bought a house in May! Since then I've moved and finally have all of my belongings in one place for the first time since moving back to Kansas City in late 2016. Here is a picture of my house and of the backyard which me and my dog Willow are enjoying immensely. It took several months to get everything set up, but now I have my craft room set up and better than ever!

And here is my mantel all decorated for fall! It's the perfect place to show off some home decor projects and seasonal decorations together.

Ok, now what you really came here for...this month's Fancy Friday Blog Hop!

I used the Snowman Season Bundle from the Holiday Catalog and the Lakeside Dies from the Annual Catalog. I was totally inspired by the card on the left which features the Lakeside Dies.

I thought that the die that is meant for water waves could also be used for a snowy, winter scene as well. I cut it twice, and backed it with a patterned paper from Let It Snow Specialty Designer Series Paper and some Vellum Cardstock. I used a sponge brayer to add some Flirty Flamingo ink to the top of a Thick Whisper White card base, then added the die cut piece with Stampin' Dimensionals.

The snowman, hat and arms are stamped in Black Memento Ink, and colored with Stampin' Blends Markers. I cut the out with a punch, and added a felt scarf from the Let It Snow Embellishment Kit. For the greeting, I colored white cardstock with more Stampin' Blends markers before stamping the greeting in Black Memento Ink. After die-cutting it and backing it with a Basic Black scalloped circle, I added sequins and snowflakes from the Snowflake Sequins. I think they were the perfect final touch!
