TGIFC214 - Create A Set

Hello and welcome back! It's time for this week's TGIF Challenge, and this week we focused on Create A Set of cards. It's such a great idea to create a few extra cards when all of your supplies are out and your creativity is already working! You can use the same layout or the same colors or the same stamps and papers so you don't have to reinvent the wheel as you create.

I wanted to play with the Balloon Celebration Photopolymer Stamp Set again before it retired, and I wanted to feature effects and the same set of colors.

TGIFC214-1

For the first card, I stamped the smaller solid balloon in my chosen colors of Real Red, Pumpkin Pie, Daffodil Delight, Old Olive, Bermuda Bay and Rich Razzleberry onto Watercolor Paper. I then spritzed the balloons with water, allowing the colors to bleed a bit and then let the piece air dry. The piece was framed with Basic Black Cardstock, and adhered to a Whisper White Thick Cardstock card base. I drew in the balloon strings with a Smoky Slate marker. The greeting was stamped in Versamark, heat embossed in white and adhered with Mini Stampin' Dimensionals along with some Silver Metallic Thread. A few silver star sequins from the Twinkle Adhesive-Backed Sequins.

For the next card, I stamped the circle in Jet Black Stazon Ink, and colored them in with Real Red, Pumpkin Pie, Daffodil Delight, Old Olive, Bermuda Bay and Rich Razzleberry Watercolor Pencils, mixing colors as I went. I spritzed the panel with water, letting the colors mix together even more. All of the greetings are from the Itty Bitty Birthdays Cling Stamp Set. I used the same embellishments to complete the card.

For this card, I stamped the balloons in Jet Black Stazon Ink, and then colored in the balloons with Stampin' Write Markers. I spritzed the panel with water again, and then let the panel air dry. I drew in the balloon strings with a black Journaling Pen. The greetings are die cut using the larger frame from the Merry Christmas Dies.

For the last card, I stamped the dotted image in the colors shared above, and spritzed the panel with water. I love this look, and it's so easy to do! I used the same stamp set for the greetings and the same embellishments to complete the card.

Phew, are you still with me? You'll want to head over to the TGIF blog, and check out all the other sets. We hope you'll join us in this week's challenge!
