Hello and welcome back! It's time for another TGIF Challenge, this time focusing on piercing or stitching.
I decided that the Needlepoint Nook Suite would be perfect as several of the dies have piercing / stitching marks, and the patterned papers feature lovely, realistic embroidery stitching. The colors I used are Blushing Bride, Crushed Curry, Poppy Parade and Old Olive, which were all taken from the Needlepoint Nook Designer Series Papers. I love all of these beautiful patterns. The detail is amazing! I stamped several of the flowers from the Needle & Thread Stamp Set, and then die cut using the frames from the Needlepoint Elements Framelits dies. I used the large floral pierced cluster to feature on the card, and also die cut one of the small pierced borders twice along the edge of the card. These dies give some nice texture without overwhelming the rest of the card. I tied on a white die cut label with Old Olive Linen Thread, and then adhered the stamped flowers and some die cut leaves onto the label using Mini Stampin' Dimensionals.
To finish the card, I adhered a pink Needlepoint Nook Mini Button to the center of the large flower, and then stamped the greeting in Old Olive Ink in the lower right corner. Don't you love all the detail from these dies?
Well, that is all for today. I hope you'll join us at the TGIF Challenges Blog this week, and share your pierced or stitched projects with us.!
