TGIFC206 - Color Challenge
April 05, 2019
Hello and welcome back! It's a new month, and time for our next TGIF Challenge. It's a color challenge this week, and I love this bright combo.
For the background, applied some of the Mango Melody and a little Granny Apple Green ink to an acrylic block, sprayed it with water and then applied it to a piece of watercolor paper. The green changed the color of the mango ink a bit, but I think it still makes a nice and bright background for the butterflies. I also splattered more Mango Melody and Granny Apple Green ink onto the background. I layered this with a piece of the black and white dot patterned paper from the Tropical Escape 6x6 Paper Stack. There are some wonderful simple prints in this pack. After punching the butterflies out, I adhered them with a small piece of Tear & Tape that was applied only to the center portion. This leaves the wings free for added dimension.
I pulled apart some Basic Black Solid Baker's Twine, and wrapped that under the stamped greeting. The greeting is cut with the Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies, and adhered with Stampin' Dimensionals. Some black sequins complete the card.
Well, that is all for me today. But, please head over to the TGIF Challenges Blog, and share your colorful creation with us there.
