Fancy Friday - For Family Theme

Hello and welcome back! It's time for this month's Fancy Friday Blog Hop. I'm here with my fancy friends (all current or former members of the Stampin' Up! Artisan Design Team). This month we are focusing on families, and making cards to celebrate them and their special days and accomplishments. You'll love what you see tonight on our fancy blog hop. We also have a Pinterest board that you can follow. You might have just arrived from my beautiful friend Susan's blog. She's as much fun as her beautiful creations!

I decided to focus today on the furry members of our families. I made a feline card that could be used to welcome a new cat to the family, and I made a sympathy card for the loss of a canine family member. Pets are such an important part of families, and I think it's great to both welcome them and to mark their passing.

I used both the Happy Tails Bundle and the Nine Lives Bundle. Both of them have a fun stamp set with on point greetings, and matching punches. I used the papers from the Twinkle, Twinkle Designer Series Papers. These papers coordinate with a baby suite, but since they include gray and a warm pink they also look great with animal images. I stamped the outline of the cat in Petal Pink, and the stripes of the cat in Grapefruit Grove. I made a little scene with the bowl and yarn images, and some Pool Party and Soft Sea Foam inks. I stamped the greeting in Early Espresso, and then stamped hearts in Gray Granite and Petal Pink.

I completed the card with some pink sequins and Petal Pink Metallic ribbon.

I stamped the dog outline in Gray Granite, and stamped the spots in Early Espresso ink. I created the scene with the dog house. The main image is stamped in Soft Sea Foam, and the roof and highlights are stamped in Gray Granite. The dog punch also punches out the cute hearts.

I adhered the dog and the hearts with Mini Stampin' Dimensionals, and completed the card with Linen Thread and more pink sequins.
