Fancy Friday - Case the Catalog
March 28, 2019
Hello and welcome back! It's time for this month's Fancy Friday Blog Hop. I'm here with my fancy friends (all current or former members of the Stampin' Up! Artisan Design Team). This month we are CASEing (copy and share everything) a favorite sample from one of the current catalogs. You'll love what you see tonight on our fancy blog hop. We also have a Pinterest board that you can follow. You might have just arrived from Dani's blog. I just love her fun style, which matches her personality!
This is what I came up with. I used a color scheme of Flirty Flamingo, Poppy Parade, Berry Burst, Soft Sea Foam, Old Olive and Mossy Meadow. I originally started with a Flirty Flamingo card base, but it was just too bright. It looks so much better with the lighter background, which doesn't compete for attention with the floral cluster. The greeting is stamped with Mossy Meadow ink onto Whisper White, and placed over a strip of Vellum Cardstock. I love Vellum; I think it makes almost any project look better. I stamped flowers in Berry Burst and Poppy Parade onto Whisper White Thick Cardstock, and leaves in Old Olive onto the same cardstock before die cutting them out. I also die cut leaf sprigs from Old Olive Cardstock, and flower clusters from Flirty Flamingo Cardstock. Then, I stacked them using liquid glue and Stampin' Dimensionals.
Oh yes, before adhering the greeting, I tied a bow of Old Olive Linen Thread around the banner greeting, and then adhere it with Stampin' Dimensionals.
Well, that is all from me today. But, you'll want to move on to my wonderful friend Cindy, whose project you are sure to love. Do you use our catalogs for inspiration for your projects?
