Happy Birthday Gorgeous Simple Stamping

Hello and welcome back! I have a couple more simple stamping cards to share using the Happy Birthday Gorgeous stamp set. These feature only stamps, ink and cardstock along with some patterned paper.

I started by picking the patterned paper I would use and then the coordinating colors. This modern pattern is from the Garden Impressions 6x6 Designer Series Paper. I stamped the greeting and balloon in Shaded Spruce first. Then, I stamped the flowers in Melon Mambo, Calypso Coral and Mango Melody, and the leaves in Soft Sea Foam. The solid part of the flower was stamped off before stamping it over the outline stamps. It's an easy way to get two shades from one ink pad! The card base is Soft Sea Foam.

For the second version of the card, I chose the colors first. I used Balmy Blue, Call Me Clover, Lovely Lipstick, Poppy Parade and Mango Melody inks to stamp the balloon, greeting, flowers and leaves. Since these colors were brighter, I chose a more simple patterned paper. I used the Balmy Blue color of the Gingham Gala 6x6 Designer Series Paper.

Well, that's all for today. March will bring a new theme for simple stamping, and I plan to share more cards with you next month!
