Fancy Friday - Favorite Occasions Catalog Product
February 21, 2019
Hello and welcome back! It's time for this month's Fancy Friday Blog Hop. I'm here with my fancy friends (all current or former members of the Stampin' Up! Artisan Design Team). This month we are featuring our favorite Occasions Catalog product! You'll love what you see tonight on our fancy blog hop. We also have a Pinterest board that you can follow. You might have just arrived from Dani's blog. I just love her fun style!
So, my favorite products from the Occasions Catalog are the Needle & Thread Bundle including a stamp set, a matching die set, patterned papers, linen thread and mini buttons.
The patterned paper is amazing, with so much texture from pictures of real embroidery and fabric. And the stamps feature the same texture of thread. There are also stamps and dies that have stitched borders. This card base is Blushing Bride, with the small cross-stitch stamp marked in Flirty Flamingo across the card. The frame was cut from the patterned paper using the new Rectangle Stitched Framelits Dies, and layered on two white frames for some depth. I stamped the flower and leaves images in Poppy Parade, Crushed Curry and Old Olive. I used some Stampin' Dimensionals in the grouping also.
The final touches were a mini pink button tied with some Old Olive Linen Thread. It's a simple card, but I love all of the details.
My next card features a Whisper White Thick card base, and I used the leftover rectangles from the frame above, layered together to start this card. I impressed the label shape onto Vellum Cardstock, and punched it out with the Pretty Label Punch. I stamped the greeting with Poppy Parade Ink, and then die cut it with the label shape. This was adhered over the rectangle after I wrapped it with a piece of tied Tranquil Tide Mini Ruffled Ribbon.
To complete the card, I stamped the trio of flowers with Blushing Bride and die cut them. I also die cut two of the leaf trio, and adhered them along with the cut out leaf shapes. And, I added one more detail of three pink mini buttons. Another uncomplicated card, but I love the results.
Well, that is all for me today. But please move on to my friend Jeanna! You'll love her project too.
