Fancy Friday - Favorite Sale-a-bration Product
January 24, 2019
Hello and welcome back! It's time for this month's Fancy Friday Blog Hop. I'm here with my fancy friends (all current or former members of the Stampin' Up! Artisan Design Team). Happy 2019! This month we are featuring our favorite Sale-a-bration product! You'll love what you see tonight on our fancy blog hop. We also have a Pinterest board that you can follow. You might have just arrived from Susan's blog. I just love her beautiful style!
So, it was a hard to decide which product was my favorite, because I love several of them! I decided to make something with the By The Bay Cling Stamp Set. I made three fairly simple cards to share with you today.
I pulled out the new Rectangle Stitched Framelits Dies, and cut out the stamped image after it dried along with a piece of Vellum Cardstock.
For the next card, I painted the ocean area of the image with water, and then sprinkled on the blue powder while it was still wet. I repeated the same process with the house and orange powder, the bushes with green powder and the wall with yellow powder. I "pounced" my water brush onto any areas that were too powdery afterward to activate the paint.
This might be my favorite of the techniques. To assemble the cards, I adhered the Vellum rectangle, and then adhered the stamped panels with Stampin' Dimensionals.
For my last stamped image, I put the powders onto a clean stamp block, and used them to paint with used an Aqua Painter. I kept the birds white, and then colored the water with blue and the sky with orange.
To complete all of the cards, I stamped the greetings onto Shimmery White Cardstock in black, trimmed them with scissors and then adhered them with Mini Stampin' Dimensionals. I added some Copper Metallic Thread under the greeting, and also adhered copper sequins from the Metallics Sequin Assortment.
Like I said, these are really simple but I like the results. I think the backgrounds go with the elegant style of the stamps themselves. I'm so glad that these artists are able to give us such beautiful scenes to bring to life! So, what is your favorite Sale-a-bration product?
