TGIFC190 - Sketch Challenge

Hello and welcome back! It's time for this week's TGIF Challenge, a cute sketch that's perfectly timed for Christmas.

TGIFC190

I was inspired by the fact that this card looks like a gift, and I have wanted to play with the Tags & Tiding Bundle. Aren't they cute together?

The Tags & Tidings Bundle makes quick work of creating 16 tags, so I decided to double them up and make 8 cards. I altered the sketch a bit just for some variety, placing the bows and tags in the corners for some of the cards as well as in the center of other cards. I heat embossed the tags in white on Shaded Spruce, Real Red and Olive Olive cardstock before cutting them out with the die.

I used the Under the Mistletoe Designer Series Paper, and chose some of the bolder prints to highlight. I used Old Olive, Real Red, Whisper White and Shaded Spruce for the card bases and accents.

The ribbons that I used were the 1/8" Old Olive Sheer Ribbon, the Shaded Spruce ribbon from the Metallic Ribbon Combo Pack, the Real Red 1/8" Solid Ribbon and the 1/8" Whisper White Sheer Ribbon and the Whisper White Solid Baker's Twine to tie on the tags.

I adhered the bottom tags with Mini Glue Dots and the top tags with Stampin' Dimensionals to add a little more dimension to the finished cards.

Well, that's all for me today. Please head over to the TGIF Challenges Blog, and share your own "gift" inspired by our sketch!
