Fancy Friday - Color Challenge
Christmas Prep - Round 1

More Color Inspiration

Hello everyone! I'm back with another fall themed project, just in time as we just had some early snow this week! I'm not quite ready for that, are you?

I decided to make another card with the beautiful color combo from the last Fancy Friday Blog Hop. I started by painting a watercolor panel with some watered down Pacific Point ink, and then splattering the piece with some darker mix of the same color. Next, I cut a stitched circle from one of the Wood Textures papers and then stamped the greeting on Whisper White, cutting it into another stitched circle.

For the leaves, I colored a larger piece of watercolor paper with Rich Razzleberry and Mango Melody inks. Then, I die cut the larger detailed leaves and the small leaves from that paper. I also stamped on some of the Mango paper in Rich Razzleberry ink while the paper was still wet, and die cut those with the outline die. These were all layered between the circles along with some Linen Thread. A couple of sequins from the Basic Adhesive-Backed Sequins complete the card.

That's all I have for today, but come back this weekend as I am getting a head start on my Christmas card and Christmas tag projects which I'll be sharing.
