Fancy Friday - Color Challenge

Hello and welcome back! It's time for this month's Fancy Friday Blog Hop. I'm here with my fancy friends (all current or former members of the Stampin' Up! Artisan Design Team). This month we are featuring a color challenge! Check out our inspiration photo below, with the colors of Mango Melody, Powder Pink, Rich Razzleberry, Pacific Point, Smoky Slate and Whisper White. We also have a Pinterest board that you can follow. You might have just arrived from Cindy's Blog. Did you see her fun project?! Love her style.

Here is the inspiration photo. Isn't it a lovely one? I'll be honest...I was afraid of this color combo at first, but I like what I came up with.

I decided to play with the Colorful Seasons Stamp Set and the coordinating Seasonal Layers dies. I haven't used these in a while, but there are some great leaves in both.

It's finally cooler here in Kansas, so I thought of creating some autumn leaves. I  started with a watercolor background of Pacific Point and Powder Pink, making it look similar to the sky. For the small leaves I inked the small stamps in Mango Melody, sponged on some Rich Razzleberry around the edges and then stamped on more watercolor paper. For the larger leaves I stamped the solid image in Mango Melody and the outline over the top in Rich Razzleberry. After that, I spritzed them all with water to blur the ink a bit, and then die cut them. I die cut the line leaves from Mango Melody cardstock.

I backed the watercolor background with Smoky Slate cardstock, and then layered all the leaves on top. I wrapped the piece with Whisper White Baker's Twine, and added the light pink sequins from the Basic Adhesive-Backed Sequins. After stamping the greeting on a Thick Whisper White card base, I adhered the leaf piece with Stampin' Dimensionals to the top of the card. I think it turned out as a cheerful card!

So, that's all for me today, but you should move on to Jenn's blog, and then around the rest of the hop. You'll love what you see!
