Fancy Friday - Sketch Inspiration
November 16, 2017
Hello and welcome back! It's time for the October Fancy Friday Blog Hop with my fancy friends (all current or former members of the Stampin' Up! Artisan Design Team)! This month we're featuring projects inspired by the Painted Autumn suite of products. We could be inspired by the colors, the patterns, etc. You're in for a creative treat, so be sure to circle all the way around the hop. We also have a Pinterest board that you can follow. You might have just arrived from Susan's blog, my friend from the South Pacific. Didn't you just love her project?!
Our inspiration this month is a sketch. This was based on a super cute card by Holly!
I started by coloring this sweater with the lighter shade of the Old Olive, Bermuda Bay and Cherry Cobbler Stampin' Blends, shading with a second layer of the same color as well as the light Smoky Slate marker. I cut out the sweater, and mounted it to some Sahara Sand and Whisper White cardstock. Behind this I adhered a strip of Old Olive Cardstock that was run through the Cable Knit Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. It's wrapped with Old Olive Baker's Twine before adhering it. The greeting is from the Christmas Pines Photopolymer Stamp Set, die cut with the banner from Bunch Of Banners Framelits Dies. Some Stampin' Dimensionals give dimension to the center layer, the sweater and the greeting. I also added a single rhinestone to the center of the snowflake.
This is why I love a good sketch! I was able to quickly complete three cards after trimming out my sweaters. Here I used the Daffodil Delight, Cherry Cobbler, Pool Party, Ivory, Smoky Slate, Color Lifter and Pink Pirouette Blends markers. I used Daffodil Delight for the cable embossed cardstock, and the coordinating Crushed Curry Solid Baker's Twine to wrap it with. This is greeting is from the Oh, What Fun Photopolymer Stamp Set, and I added two rhinestones to the greeting banner.
Last, but not least, I used my Pool Party, Rich Razzleberry, Calypso Coral and Pink Pirouette Blends markers to color the sweater, along with a bit of Smoky Slate. I also colored over the lights with a Clear Wink of Stella pen. The cable cardstock is Pool Party, as is the solid Baker's Twine. Two more rhinestones on the greeting, from the Christmas Pines Photopolymer Stamp Set, die cut with the Lots of Labels Framelits.
Well, that's all I have for today. But you won't want to miss the next stop on the hop, Jennifer T! Click below to move on.
