TGIFC127 - Tic Tac Toe Challenge
September 29, 2017
Hello and welcome back! I'm back with this week's TGIF Challenge, and it's a fun tic-tac-toe challenge. Our assignment was to select three items in a row, column or diagonally to make our project with. I chose the middle column, so I'm featuring "not a card", Designer Series Paper and Halloween.
I used three different patterned papers for these projects. The bases that hold the treat tubes are made from Foil Frenzy Specialty Designer Series Paper, using the striped and dotted patterns in Berry Burst, Tangerine Tango and Lemon Lime Twist. I cut a 2" wide by 6" piece of paper, scored it at 1", 1.5", 4" and 4.5", and finally punched it with the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch. Then, I used the 3/4" circle punch to punch holes on the 1.5" and 4" folds for the tubes. (I used the instructions for these tag tube holders that fellow demonstrator Jo Anne Hewins shared in this post.) The other papers I used are the Berry Burst ombre pattern from the Color Theory Designer Series Paper Stack and the Lemon Lime Twist and Peekaboo Peach patterns from the Painted Autumn Designer Series Paper. These were cut using the Lots Of Labels Framelits Dies.
The greetings and images are stamped in Archival Basic Black ink onto Shimmer White Cardstock, and then water colored. I also dipped the Aqua Painters into the inks, and added some splatter to each image. They are die cut into circles using the Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies.
The finishing touches are some Berry Burst 1/2" Finely Woven Ribbon, Lemon Lime Twist 1/2" Finely Woven Ribbon, Peekaboo Peach 5/8" Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon (which coordinates with Tangerine Tango pretty well), Vintage Crochet Trim and Black Rhinestone Jewels. I just love these bright colors together...so spooky and fun!
Well, that is all for me today. But, head over to the TGIF Challenges blog, and play some Tic Tac Toe with us this week!
