TGIFC116 - Sketch Challenge
July 14, 2017
Hello and welcome back! It's time for another TGIF Challenge, and this week it's a sketch challenge.
I took some liberties with the sketch, and lined up my elements with the top edge of the card, and overlapped them left to right. I used the cute Pieces & Patterns Clear-Mount Stamp Set and the super cute critters from the Pick A Pattern Designer Series Paper. First, I cut two banners from the pink and green patterned papers using the Banner Triple Punch.
*Tip: I cut a 1" piece of Vellum Cardstock, and punched it with the Banner Triple Punch. Next, I covered it with the widest washi tape from the Pick A Pattern Washi Tape, and trimmed the tape to match the border end. I love how the washi tape over the vellum keeps the transparent quality visible.*
The three banners were all layered onto a Sahara Sand card base. I wrapped the card with two rounds of the Flirty Flamingo Baker's Twine and two rounds of the Crushed Curry Solid Baker's Twine, and tied them in knots along the right edge.
For the focal point, I cut the largest Stitched Shapes circle from Whisper White Cardstock and part of the circle from Crumb Cake Cardstock, and adhered them together. I fussy cut the fox, rabbit, moose and evergreen tree from the patterned paper. I glued them into place on the circle. Next I stamped the full circle greeting in Emerald Envy ink, and trimmed out the "hello" by hand. This was adhered to the circle with Stampin' Dimensionals. The whole circle was then adhered to the card with more Stampin' Dimensionals.
I even decorated the inside of the card this week! I cut a strip of Whisper White cardstock, a small strip of the green patterned paper and the mountains from the patterned paper. This was adhered to the card, and then the greeting was stamped in Emerald Envy ink.
Well, that is all for me today. I hope you'll join us over at TGIF Challenges this week, and share your take on our fun sketch!
