Fancy Friday - Favorite Five!
June 29, 2017
Hello, and welcome back! It's time for another Fancy Friday Blog Hop with my fancy friends (all current or former members of the Stampin' Up! Artisan Design Team). You'll love all of the wonderful ideas you see on this hop, so be sure to circle all the way around. We also have a Pinterest board that you can follow. You might have just arrived from Susan's blog, and I'm sure you loved her fun project!
1. Oh So Eclectic Clear-Mount Stamp Set and
2. Eclectic Layers Framelits Dies (So many different kinds of dies are in this one, including some that emboss instead of cutting!)
3. Naturally Eclectic Designer Series Paper
4. All the new ribbons and trims (Yes, I'm counting that as one!)
5. The new sequin mixes! There are so many great colors in here.
So, here are my cards! I used the same basic layout on them all, but reversed it for one of the cards.
On the first card, I made a watercolor background from Peakaboo Peach and Soft Sky on Shimmer White Cardstock. I attached a piece of Fresh Fig 1/2" Finely Woven Ribbon and Peakaboo Peach Baker's Twine at the top, then layered it over Peakaboo Peach cardstock onto a Shimmer White card base. I cut a piece of the Naturally Eclectic paper with the Stitched Shapes circle die, and adhered it to the card. I stamped a flower, and die cut it with the matching framelit die. Next, I used the framelit and the cooresponding thinlit die to cut the flower out of Fresh Fig Cardstock. I also cut the leaf branch from Vellum Cardstock. These were all layered over the circle.
To complete the card, I stamped the greeting in Fresh Fig, die cut it with the smallest banner from the Bunch of Banners Framelits Dies, and adhered it with Stampin' Dimensionals. Three of the sequins are the final touch.
For the second card, I cut the diamond die from a piece of Soft Sky Cardstock, and layered it over the Emerald Envy watercolor patterned paper onto a Shimmer White card base. I also used the Emerald Envy 5/8" Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon and some Pool Party Solid Baker’s Twine in the upper corner. I cut a circle of Shimmer White Cardstock using the Stitched Shapes again, and then embossed the pretty leaf die in it. I stamped the leaves in Lemon Lime Twist (another favorite) and Emerald Envy, and then die cut them out. I layered all of these together on the card.
Next, I watercolored a piece of Shimmer White cardstock with Lemon Lime Twist ink, stamped the greeting and die cut the same banner as above. It's adhered with Stampin' Dimensionals. I used three more sequins to highlight the greeting again.
For the third card, I made a watercolor background out of Berry Burst and Lemon Lime Twist on Shimmer White cardstock, layered it with Berry Burst cardstock and adhered it to a Shimmer White card base. I cut a circle from the Fresh Florals Designer Series Paper Stack using the Stitched Shapes circle die, and adhered it. The flower is stamped in Berry Burst, die cut with the framelit and I colored in the stem with Night of Navy ink. The second flower is cut from Night of Navy cardstock using the framelit and thinlit die. And, I cut another leaf branch from Vellum Cardstock. These were layered to the circle again.
I stamped the greeting, die cut it with the banner die and adhered it with Stampin' Dimensionals. I used three of the pink sequins. They aren't an exact color match, but because of the iridescent color they coordinate well.
Phew, that was a long post! Thanks for sticking with me. Next, you can head over to Cathy's blog and her fabulous project.
