TGIFC104 - Polka Dot Theme

Hello and welcome back! It's time for a polka-dot theme challenge over at TGIF Challenges #104. One of my favorite polka-dot tools from Stampin' Up is retiring soon, the Polka Dot Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, so I decided to give it some love today. And, I used one of my favorite techniques as well.

I cut a piece of watercolor paper, and ran it through the embossing folder. I colored all of the dots with an Aqua Painter and my ink pads in Sahara Sand, Pear Pizzazz, Powder Pink and Fresh Fig. The last two are new In Colors for 2017-2019 that you're getting a sneak peek at! I backed it with some retiring Bold Brights Designer Series Paper in Rich Razzleberry on a card base of Powder Pink.

I added some Pear Pizzazz leaves cut with the Rose Garden Thinlits Dies and some Blushing Bride Baker's Twine for more texture. The greeting is from the most recent Paper Pumpkin kit, stamped in Early Espresso ink onto Sahara Sand Cardstock, and die cut with the Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies. I hope you'll give this technique a try...it's lots of fun!
