TGIFC 102 - Color Challenge

Hello and welcome back! I'm back with this week's TGIF Challenge, a color challenge #102. You can see our colors for this week below. They are so nice and springy!

TGIFC102

I pulled out the Basket Bunch Bundle for this project, since I have spring on my mind! I stamped the three medium size eggs in Basic Black on watercolor paper, and went to town coloring them with ink pads and aqua painters. I cheated a little, and also used some Calypso Coral for the eggs as I felt they needed a third color that wasn't neutral. After they were all colored, I cut them out with the matching die. I stamped the basket in Tip Top Taupe onto the same color cardstock, and die cut the handle and basket. They are adhered together with the Fine Tip Glue Pen. The bow was stamped in Sweet Sugarplum onto the same color cardstock, and also die cut. For the background, I colored a really light wash of Soft Sky for the sky and Mint Macaron for the grass. I also stamped the grass image in more Mint Macaron, and went over it lightly with the aqua pen and water to blend it a bit. This watercolor piece was adhered to a layer of Tip Top Taupe Cardstock. The greeting frame is also watercolored in Sweet Sugarplum.

I added a layer of the Tip Top Taupe Gingham to the card base. Next, I adhered the watercolor background. Next, I adhered 6 of the eggs directly to the background, after penciling in the outline of where to place the basket. I adhered the basket and 3 of the eggs with Stampin' Dimensionals. The bow was adhered to the basket handle then. Next, I adhered the greeting to the card base with more Stampin' Dimensionals.

When I don't use any embellishments, I always feel like it needs something more. In this case, I colored the three dimensional eggs with the Clear Wink of Stella pen, as well as the bow and the outline of the greeting. The sparkle is so pretty in person, and I was able to capture a bit of it in the picture below.
