TGIFC98-Sketch Challenge

Hello and welcome back! It's time for the next TGIFC#98 Challenge based on this cute sketch.

I love this whole Cool Treats Suite with the Cool Treats Stamp Set, Frozen Treats Framelits Dies and Tasty Treats Specialty Designer Series Paper. I haven't made too many creations with it yet, so it's about time I used it. Honestly I just stared at all of the cute dies for awhile, and tried to figure out which ones I wanted to use. (I feel a big card set coming on, so check back next week!)

I decided to feature the bowl and ice cream scoops, but didn't want to use solid cardstock for my ice cream dips. So, I cut them out of watercolor paper, and then lightly colored them in. I love how they turned out! I stacked them on a bowl cut from Pool Party Cardstock, and added a spoon cut from Silver Foil Paper and a die cut cherry. I cut the cherry from red and green cardstocks, cut off the stem of the red cherry and adhered it to the full green piece. I also made a strawberry die cut in the same way, and it is just too cute! I'm saving it for a future project. I used the Stitched Shapes dies and the Layering Squares for under the ice cream pieces, and this was adhered to the card front with Stampin' Dimensionals.

Color Craze - Cool Treats Suite

I made use of one of the simple patterned papers for my card background, and added one of the 2015-2017 In Color Doilies and some silver thread to the right. The greeting is in two pieces, so it's easy to stamp in coordination colors. I cut the greeting with the Tags & Labels Framelits Dies.

I even added some simple decorations to the inside. I used another strip of patterned paper and a stamped greeting strip on Whisper White Cardstock. For this cherry, I watercolored Watermelon Wonder ink onto the cherry, and then stamped it on Watercolor Paper. I did the same thing to the stem with Pear Pizzazz ink and my Aqua Painter. I punched it out with the 3/4" Circle Punch. I also have an envelope ready, lined with the cute ice cream sundae printed paper.

Well, that's all for me today. But, please stop by the TGIF Challenges blog and share your creation with us there. We love to see what you've made, and we select a winner every week. You'll find the supplies listed below for your convenience as well.
