TGIFC94 - Sketch Challenge
February 10, 2017
Hello and welcome back! I'm here with the next TGIF Challenge, #94, a sketch challenge. This was a fun one to play with!
I stamped the greeting in Watermelon Wonder ink onto another piece of Watercolor Paper, which I die cut with the Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies. I splattered a bit of Smoky Slate ink over the greeting using my Aqua Painter. I layered this over a scalloped circle cut from Vellum Cardstock. I trimmed this to be even with the watercolor piece. I added Stampin' Dimensionals to the back, loops of Silver Metallic Thread and then adhered it to the card. I added some White Perfect Accents to highlight the greeting as well.
After making cards for so many years, I have decided to add a few additional steps to my process so they are all ready to go when I need to send them. If you're like me, you might make so many cards that don't ever leave your house and find their way to a friend or family member. So, I have decided to decorate the inside of the cards and also prepare a coordinating envelope for each card. This way all I have to do is grab them, sign them, address them and send them off. For this card, I used retired paper to line the envelope with. I keep some of my Stampin' Up retired papers for this purpose! The inside is decorated with another watercolor border on watercolor paper, another stamped heart and a greeting from the Sunburst Sayings Stamp Set.
Well, that is all for me today. But, I hope you'll join us over at the TGIF Challenges Blog and share your take on our fun sketch! Thanks for stopping by.
