Artisan Design Team - Tin of Tags Stamps

Hello and welcome back! It's time for the next Artisan Design Team blog post, and this week we're focusing on the Tin of Tags and Here's to Cheers Stamp Sets. You're in for a treat because we have so much talent and so many different styles represented by these 20 women from around the globe. And on top of their talent, they are fun and fabulous as well. Corporate Facebook page this Friday. You might have just arrived from Krista Frattin, and I know you loved her beautiful project as much as I did.

So, I chose to work with the Tin of Tags Stamp Set and the Cheerful Tags Framelits Dies. That's right, I'm mixing things up! I also used the beautiful Fancy Frost Specialty Designer Series Papers to cut my tags from. The papers are a beautiful crisp white, and have raised patterns on them.

For my first project, I created a box using the gift box punch board and paper from the 2015-2017 In Color Designer Series Paper Stack. After die cutting the tag, I punched a circle from Delightful Dijon Cardstock, and heat embossed "To" and "From" in white. This was adhered to the inside of the tag. For the top of the tag, I stamped the greeting in Versamark ink and heat embossed it in white on watercolor paper. The tag was tied to the box using Crushed Curry Baker's Twine.

Tip: to create an ombre effect, start by watercoloring at the top of the tag with nearly full strength ink after squeezing the top of your inkpad. Then, add more water to the ink and continue to color the rest of the tag. You can also go back to the top, and color down the tag with the Aqua Painter to avoid any lines of color.

Next up is the clever wine bottle tag. After die cutting the tag, I added the Cherry Cobbler 3/8" (1 Cm) Silky Taffeta Ribbon from the Combo Pack. For this tag, I colored over the embossed image with Cherry Cobbler ink.

For my last project, I created a bag using the Emerald Envy paper from the 2016-2018 In Color Designer Series Paper Stack and the Gift Bag Punch Board. For the handles, I used the Mint Macaron 3/8" (1 Cm) Sheer Linen Ribbon.

For this tag, I added Emerald Envy Solid Baker's Twine to attach it to the bag.

Tip: another way to create an ombre look is to use two different colors of ink for the watercolor wash. I used Emerald Envy and Mint Macaron here, and blended them in the middle with my Aqua Painter.
