Playing along with TGIF Sketch Challenge 68

Hello and welcome back! I'm sharing a project I made for the TGIF Challenge Blog using the Thoughtful Branches bundle and their Sketch Challenge #68. Have you seen all of the terrific samples made with this limited time bundle? Here and here are links to two blog hops with lots of amazing samples made by this year's Stampin' Up Artisan Design Team if you need more temptation to purchase these items! Get it while you can, as it is only available until August 31 (while supplies last).

This is the great sketch that I started with today. Diagonal designs are very popular right now, and this was a lot of fun to work with.

I started with a piece of Shimmery White Cardstock, and taped off the top third at an angle. Next, I spritzed Peekaboo Peach Ink over leaf die cuts (cut apart from the large branch). I stamped the solid leaf in Peekaboo Peach (after stamping off once) in the gaps between the white leaves. I love how this turned out, and I'll definitely be playing around with this technique more in the future. This piece was adhered to a Mint Macaron card base. Next, I used the leaves I spritzed over along with solid leaves stamped in full strength Peekaboo Peach and small twigs in Mint Macaron, both die cut with the matching dies, and layered them all together along the diagonal line, keeping the spritzed leaves on top.

To finish off the card, I stamped the greeting in Pumpkin Pie onto Shimmer White Cardstock, cut it into a 1" strip and punched the ends with the Triple Banner Punch. I added a length of the Mint Macaron ribbon underneath that, and several rounds of Metallic Copper Thread under that. The whole greeting is adhered to the card front with Stampin' Dimensionals. The final touch was 3 orange sequins from the Brights Sequin Assortment. I'm really happy with how this turned out.
