OSAT Blog Hop - Dog Days of Summer

Hello and welcome back! Today is our monthly One Stamp At a Time Blog Hop, and our theme this month is the Dog Days of Summer! I think some on the hop will also share some ideas for Back to School projects, so you'll have lots of interesting things to see. I went with the summer theme, and inked up a new set I have called Pop of Paradise. I colored the pineapples with a few different colors of yellow and green markers, spritzed them with water and then stamped. This gives the fruit lots of variations in color, and it gives the card more interest I think.

The card is finished with some Daffodil Delight polka dot paper, and one of the papers from the Serene Scenery Designer Series Paper Stack. I added some Cucumber Crush retired ribbon and some Crushed Curry twine behind the greeting. I colored the greeting in three different colors of yellow, and then punched it out with the 1 1/4" Circle Punch.  I didn't spritz the greeting, because it tends to make the greeting unreadable.

For my box, I created a coordinating tag. I used the same color and spritz technique as the card for the pineapple, and colored the greeting with 3 colors of yellow before stamping it.

I put some jelly beans in the Clear Tiny Treat Box, and wrapped it with more retired Cucumber Crush ribbon. I tied the tag to the greeting ribbon with a piece of the Crushed Curry Baker's Twine. Isn't this a happy, sunny color scheme! I love how these turned out.
