Fancy Friday - August Inspiration
August 25, 2016
Hello and welcome back! It's time for another Fancy Friday Blog Hop with my fancy friends (all current or former members of the Stampin' Up! Artisan Design Team). You'll love all of the wonderful ideas you see on this hop, so be sure to circle all the way around. We also have a Pinterest board that you can follow. You might have just arrived from Joyce's blog, and I'm sure she wowed you with her project.
Here is our inspiration piece for this month. Isn't this a great collection of photos? I chose to focus on the glass jars, copper accents, denim and succulents. I also took my color scheme from the picture in the upper right.
Here is an image you can pin with the colors from this project. As you can see I used many of the colors minimally, so they don't overwhelm the project and there is still plenty of white space.
Here is the card! This isn't exactly a simple card, so I wouldn't try to make 50 of these for a swap. But, I do love how it turned out. I used my Jar of Love Stamp Set again, and the tea cup and succulents are from the July 2015 Paper Pumpin kit. Both the jars and the tea cup are embossed in Copper Embossing Powder. The image that looks like a denim table cloth is the image that is a wrap for the jar stamped repeatedly across the bottom with the jars masked.
For jars, I stamped them in Sahara Sand first on the white cardstock panel, so it was easy to stamp the branches and greenery within the jar. Then, I heat embossed and die cut the jars, and adhered them right over the stamped image. The tea cup is popped up with Stampin' Dimensionals, and colored with the Clear Wink of Stella marker. I also add sequins from a previous Paper Pumpkin kit, and the clear top portion of the White Perfect Accents, a tip I learned from fellow Artisan Design Team member Amy O'Neill. You'll find these tips on Instagram under the hashtag #ADTTipsAndTricks. Go check it out!
Ok, that's all for me today. But, please click on the button below to go to Erica Cerwin and her fun project next. Thanks for stopping by!
