Fancy Friday - Jar of Love Bundle
July 28, 2016
Hello and welcome back! It's time for another Fancy Friday Blog Hop with my fancy friends (all current or former members of the Stampin' Up! Artisan Design Team). You'll love all of the wonderful ideas you see on this hop, so be sure to circle all the way around. We also have a Pinterest board that you can follow. You might have just arrived from Krista's blog, and I'm sure you loved her amazing project. I think she is using the Jar of Love Bundle too!
Let's start with the gift tag. The die set has an inner jar die that helps you cut a frame for a shaker element! love that. I added the orange stars and red circles from the Brights Sequin Assortment, and the sequins from the Silver Sequin Trim. The jar is stamped in Pool Party, and the jar hanger is stamped in Versamark and heat embossed in silver. I made the box with the Gift Box Punch Board, and wrapped it with Peakaboo Peach Designer Series Paper. I finished it with Calypso Coral Thick Baker's Twine, which is close to Watermelon Wonder.
My original shaker tag had the jar image surrounded in a larger tag of Watermelon Wonder Cardstock, and it just didn't look right! Maybe if I get brave, I'll share it with you, ha! So, this was attempt #2. I made a simple greeting banner and another banner of the patterned paper.
I think this might be my favorite of the three projects. I have a graphic with the color combo listed below. I stamped the jar off the lower right edge of the cardstock panel, then used an Aqua Painter and Pool Party ink to color in the jar. I used more patterned paper, washi tape and the beautiful flowers and matching dies from this bundle.
I love the flowers and the leaves in this set! I used the flower detail stamp in black for the larger flowers, and I just added the other flower centers with a black marker. This jar set has so many possibilities!
One final card for today, a more simple card. Here I stamped the jar in Black Memento Ink onto Vellum, and also stamped the fireflies the same way. I stamped the lights in Peekaboo Peach on the back of the vellum. Then, I added more fireflies flying free from the jar.
The card base here is Island Indigo, the patterned paper is Pumpkin Pie and the ribbon is Peekaboo Peach. I added some Pool Party ink colored with the Aqua Painter as a base for the jar to sit on.
Here are the colors I used. There are a lot of choices here, so I only used part of the overall scheme for each project.
I made a couple more projects using this same bundle which you can find here. That's all for me today, but please click on the button below to visit Kaitlyn next. Thanks for stopping by!
