Fancy Friday - Flashback to the 80s
June 23, 2016
Hello and welcome back! I'm here today with my fancy friends (all current or former members of the Stampin' Up! Artisan Design Team) for our monthly blog hop. You'll love all of the wonderful ideas you see on this hop, so be sure to circle all the way around. We also have a Pinterest board that you can follow. You might have just arrived from Jennifer's blog, and I'm sure you loved her fabulous project.
So here is what I came up with this month! To make the gradients, I used our new sponge brayers to make the gradients with. In addition to bright colors, I used clean lines and lots of black and white to complete the cards.
This gradient is a mix of Peakaboo Peach and Flirty Flamingo! Aren't those fun names for colors?! I die cut and stamped the leaves in Emerald Envy. I added some black sequins to this card as well.
Here you can see the gradient a little closer, and how well Flirty Flamingo and Peakboo Peach go together.
For my next card, I made a gradient just using Emerald Envy. Next I stamped the small dot image across a vellum cardstock piece, and adhered it over the edge of the gradient. I die cut flowers in Peakaboo Peach and Flirty Flamingo, with Basic Black centers.
Here's a little close-up of this card as well.
One last card with a Peakaboo Peach gradient. I stamped the small floral image all over a strip of vellum, and then add some more leaves and flowers to the card over the vellum strip.
The greetings are all from the Perfectly Wrapped Stamp Set, and the 2" Circle Punch cuts them out perfectly.
Well, that is all for me today. Next move on to my friend Jeanna! She's sure to have a fun project to share with you. Thanks for stopping by!
