Artisan Design Team Blog Hop - Baby Gift Set

Hello and welcome back to another Artisan Design Team Blog Hop. You're in for a treat because we have so much talent and so many different styles represented by these 20 women from around the globe. Please keep hopping through all 20 so you don't miss a thing! Be sure to use something like Google Translate for those blogs not in your native language. Also, you can find all of our projects for the year in one easy place, on our Pinterest logo board. You might have just arrived from Krista Frattin, and I just know you loved her beautiful project as much as I did.

Our focus this month was on the Gift Box Punch Board and the Bow Builder Punch in addition to some lovely stamp sets. I chose to work with the Made with Love Stamp Set. It has the cutest images! I made a gift box to hold a set of 3x3 thank you cards, and a baby congratulations card.

I used Smoky Slate cardstock for the box and all the card bases. I also used three of the smaller silver foil patterns from the Shine On Specialty Designer Series Paper. The colors used are Pool Party, Daffodil Delight, Pear Pizzazz, Pink Pirouette, silver, kraft and Crumb Cake.

For the background of the card, I stamped all of the cute little critters in our new Archival Basic Black ink, and then water-colored them in, including the background. I stamped the onesie on a tag punched with the Ornate Tag Topper Punch. I added the greeting on a circle of Pool Party Cardstock, stamped with the small stars and layered with a metallic doilie to the tag.

Here's a little closeup of the card front.

I created the box wrap using the same stamped and water-colored background. Here I added a bow made with the Bow Builder Punch and some Silver Foil Sheets. The wrap slides off the box, so you can get to the thank you notes.

This is the 3.25"x3.25"x2.5" sized box, and it easily holds 6 of the 3"x3" cards and matching envelopes.

For the thank you cards, I punched some watercolor paper using the Note Tag Punch, and water-colored a little scene for each animal. The layout is very similar to the large card.

For the little deer, after water-coloring I colored his spots with the White Gel Pen. Also, the envelopes are lined with patterned paper using the Envelope Liners Dies.
