Stamp, Ink, Paper Guest Designer Week 3

Hello and welcome back! I'm here for my next week as a guest designer over at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge Site! This week is a sketch challenge.

SIP 39 Sketch Challenge

I used a couple different stamp sets, Honeycomb Happiness and Timeless Textures, and I also used my favorite Perfectly Artistic Designer Series Paper. Two are items that are free during Stampin' Up!'s Sale-a-bration, so get them while you can!

Friendship Card using the Honeycomb Happiness stamp set from Stampin' Up! by Marisa Gunn

The bird is stamped on the Daffodil Delight watercolor pattern, and then cut out. I colored the beak with a Tangerine Tango marker. Next, I cut a rectangle from the Soft Sky watercolor pattern, masked off the top and sponged Old Olive ink over the bottom. I stamped the bird above the green, colored in the feet and then adhered the cut out body over the top with Stampin' Dimensionals. I stamped the greeting in the green sponged area. I stamped the second rectangle with the dot texture in Daffodil Delight ink onto Daffodil Delight Cardstock.

The card base is Sahara Sand Cardstock. The white layer is stamped with Soft Sky in the sponge texture and with Old Olive with the splatter texture. A piece of the White 1-1/4" Jute Ribbon completes the card. This might be a record that I only used one accessory, but there was so much other texture going on that I didn't think it needed anything else. Well, that is all for today! I hope you head over to the Stamp, Ink, Paper site and share your creation using this sketch with us! Thanks for stopping by.
