Artisan Design Team Blog Hop -- A Bevy of Boxes

Hello and welcome back to another Artisan Design Team Blog Hop. You're in for a treat because we have so much talent and so many different styles represented by these 20 women from around the globe. Please keep hopping through all 20 so you don't miss a thing! Be sure to use something like Google Translate for those blogs not in your native language. Also, you can find our Pinterest board here. You might have just arrived from Krista Frattin, and I just know you loved her beautiful project as much as I did.

This week we are starting on our next quarter's box of goodies. We received the Gift Box Punch Board and the Botanical Builder Framelits Dies, so I used both of those newer items as well as the Shine On Specialty Designer Series Paper from our first box. As you can see here, you can choose from several different sizes of boxes. Also, this specialty paper makes a nice, sturdy box.

The green box is sized 3.25" x 3.25" x 1.75". I do love this Shine On paper. It has great printed patterns in Cucumber Crush, Bermuda Bay and Watermelon Wonder on one side, and Silver Foil on the other. After making the box, I cut a 2" x 12" strip of Cucumber Crush Cardstock. Then, I punched both ends with the Ornate Tag Topper Punch, and tied them together around the box with the Crushed Curry Baker's Twine. The greetings are all from the Sparkle & Shine Clear-Mount Stamp Set. I used the Tags & Labels Framelits Dies to die cut the greetings, and layered it on the yellow polka-dot pattern from the Cherry On Top Designer Series Paper Stack. I also die cut some flowers from the Cherry On Top Cotton Paper Assortment, and held them together with a Candy Dot Brad Base and a Crushed Curry Candy Dot. The tag was tied on with the Baker's Twine, and the flower was adhered with glue dots over the knot. This size box is just right for holding a set of 3" x 3" cards and our envelopes to match.

This box is 1.75" x 1.75" x 3.25", and uses one of the Bermuda Bay patterns from the Shine On pack. This time for the band, because the box is only 1.75" wide, after I cut the 2" x 12" strip of cardstock and punched both ends I trimmed 1/4" off each side. I used the Calypso Coral Thick Baker's Twine, which is a good compliment to the Watermelon Wonder flower and patterned paper, from the 2015-2017 In Color Designer Series Paper Stack.

I have one more box to share, this one sized at 4" x 4" x 2.5" and uses one of the Watermelon Wonder patterns. For this wrap, I cut two pieces of cardstock 3" x 8.5", overlapped them by 3/8" and then adhered them together. I cut one end to a point, punched a 1/8" hole and wrapped Bermuda Bay Baker's Twine around it and through the hole twice. The tag was stamped in the new Archival Basic Black Archival Stampin' Pad, and colored with a Crushed Curry marker. For this flower, I die cut both Bermuda Bay and Crushed Curry Cotton Paper and adhered together with the Candy Dot Brad Base. By the way, all of the larger flowers are 6 layers of the Cotton Paper and the small yellow flowers here are 4 layers. I used another of the patterns from the Cherry on Top pad.

With each of these belly bands, you can slide them off the box to get to your treat or gift without destroying the pretty container. Well, that is all for today! Be sure to move on to Michelle Long so you can continue on the hop to her inspiring project. Thanks for stopping by!
