Hello and welcome back! Today I have a birthday card to share using a simple watercolor technique and the fabulous Balloon Celebration stamp set.
I started by stamping the background with the burst image in Watermelon Wonder ink and the circle image in Blushing Bride. Next, I applied Pool Party and Mint Macaron ink to a clear stamping block, sprayed generously with water and stamped it onto a piece of Shimmer White Cardstock. That piece is matted with Pool Party Cardstock. The balloons are also stamped in Blushing Bride and Watermelon wonder, and punched with the coordinating punch. They have Basic Black Baker's Twine adhered to the back of the balloons, and then adhered to the card base with Stampin' Dimensionals.
To complete the card, I stamped the greeting in black onto a banner diecut piece of the Perfectly Artistic Designer Series Paper, and layered that over a small length of the Blushing Bride 1/4" Cotton Ribbon. Some black sequins are the final embellishment.
Well, that is all for today. I'll have another watercolor card to share later this week, and then the next Artisan Design Team Blog Hop. So, please join me again here soon. Thanks for stopping by!
