A Bright Thank You Card
February 08, 2016
Hello and welcome back! I'm popping in today to share a quick thank you card with you. It all started with a 4" x 5.5" piece of watercolor paper, and inks in Crushed Curry, Pumpkin Pie, Watermelon Wonder and Blushing Bride.
I used plain water to cover the watercolor paper, then painted a 1/4 section with each color left to right, blending them as I went. The Blushing Bride mixed in with the Watermelon Wonder so it's a little darker than it is straight out of the ink pad. I used aqua painters and my regular ink pads for this technique also.
Since the background was so bright, I kept the rest of the design pretty simple. I cut a strip of Whisper White Thick Cardstock, and die cut "thanks" from it. I tied some Crushed Curry Baker's Twine around the top and the bottom of the die cut piece, added some White Perfect Accents and then adhered it with Stampin Dimensionals to the card front over the watercolor panel. I left a strip of the Watermelon Wonder card base showing at the bottom too.
Well that is all for today! You'll find the supplies listed below. Thanks for stopping by.
