Hello and welcome back! I'm here today with a set of cards for the Global Design Project #019 challenge for Valentine's Day. I thought it would be fun to make a set of small cards using some of the more simple patterns from the Love Blossoms Designer Series Paper Stack and the new Blushing Bride Glimmer Paper. I'm really happy with how they turned out!
The color scheme is from the Love Blossoms paper, which is Crumb Cake, Whisper White, Rose Red and Blushing Bride. The small heart die is from the Circle Card Thinlits Dies, and the pinked edge circle is from the Baker's Box Thinlits Dies. This card also features a layer of the Kraft Corrugated Paper for texture.
The greetings for all the cards are from the Bloomin' Love Photopolymer Stamp Set. The bottom circle layer here is Vellum Cardstock, paper pierced using the Updated Essentials Paper-Piercing Pack and stitched with white embroidery floss.
The next card uses two layers of the Typeset Specialty Designer Series Paper, which I fringed with normal scissors. The fringe scissors are great, except on such a small circle where I needed to turn it more frequently.
Here is the last card, and maybe my favorite. The bottom layer here is a 2" strip of the White Filter Paper, spritzed with Blushing Bride ink, folded in half and gathered using sewing thread. I adhered it to a 2 1/2" circle of Vellum Cardstock to keep it in place. All the cards are 3 1/2" x 3 1/2".
Isn't that dyed filter paper pretty? And look, I'm not hoarding the Blushing Bride Glimmer Paper.
Well, that is all for today. You can play along with Global Design Project at this link. I have more cards to share later this week. Thanks for stopping by!
