Can You Case It #97 - An Inspiration Challenge
November 29, 2015
Hello and welcome back! I'm back this week with another Can You Case It Challenge, this time an inspiration challenge based on the following photo. Isn't it pretty? This card also fits the next style from Online Card Classes Holiday Style, classic and elegant.
I loved the color combo of red, gold and white, the snowflakes and the ornament. Here is what I came up with. The gold snowflakes are a piece of vellum from the Winter Wonderland Designer Vellum Stack. I stamped the ornament in Real Red ink, spritzed it with water, and then stamped it on Shimmer White Cardstock. I die cut if with the matching dies, and cut the ornament top with Gold Foil Sheets. The ornament was adhered with Stampin' Dimensionals, and I added a piece of Gold 1/8" Ribbon for the ornament to hang from.
For the greeting, I cut the top layer with the Christmas Greetings Thinlits Dies from the Gold Foil Sheets, and then again three times from regular Whisper White Cardstock. I glued all of the layers together with the Fine-Tip Glue Pen. I love that thing! You need one, yes you do. To finish the ornament, I colored some of the Rhinestone Basic Jewels with a red Sharpie marker and then adhered them to the ornament.
Well, that is all for today. I hope you'll join us at Can You Case It and share something you made inspired by the image above. Thanks for stopping by!
