Can You Case It #93 - Designers Choice Challenge

Hello and welcome back! Today I'm here to share my next creation for the Can You Case It Designer's Choice Challenge. Our theme this week is Fall related using any products for any type of project! Autumn has really been showing off her beautiful colors on the trees and bushes here in the Chicagoland area over the past few weeks. So, this is the perfect time for this challenge!

Here is my card for this week. I went back to a set from the main Stampin' Up! catalog called For All Things Clear-Mount Stamp Set. I used Crushed Curry, Pumpkin Pie and Real Red inks. For each leaf, I stamped in a lighter color, sponged the top edges with a darker color, spritzed it with water and then stamped. The orange/red leaf is cut out by hand, and then adhered to the card front. For the greeting, I colored the acorns with Crumb Cake and Sahara Sand, spritzed with water and then stamped. The greeting is stamped in Early Espresso and the circle is mounted on Early Espresso Cardstock as well. The card base is Crumb Cake, and the other color I used was Very Vanilla.

I accented my card with the wood leaves from the Into The Woods Elements, Linen Thread and some flicked Early Espresso ink using my Aqua Painter. Now I have a beautiful card to send to a friend to let them know I am thinking about them.

I thought I would also share a couple of my favorite pictures from this autumn season. These were taken with my iPhone 6, and not my DSLR camera. This was last Sunday when the sun was shining and the colors were getting to their peak. That's my furry buddy Monty out with me for our daily walk.

I love how many different colors the maple trees display.

And, one more with the sun streaming through the trees.

That's all for today. I hope you'll join us at Can You Case It and share a fall creation of your own. Thanks for stopping by!
