Can You Case It #81 - Color Challenge
August 09, 2015
Hello, and welcome back! I'm here to share our next color challenge from Can You Case It. For this challenge we were to use any shade of blue, green and purple along with white.
And here is my card. I applied my three inks (Wild Wasabi, Lost Lagoon and Rich Razzleberry) to a clear block, spritzed it well with water, and then applied the inked block to my paper. Next, I die cut the "thanks" using the Greeting Thinlits Dies. I applied Versamark Ink to the greeting, and then heat embossed it with clear powder. I also die cut 3 more "thanks" from Basic Black Cardstock, and glued them together with the watercolor greeting on top. The background piece was mounted to a piece of Rich Razzleberry Cardstock.
I added in a torn piece of Vellum Cardstock and some white sewing thread below the greeting. Then I completed the card with white round and green star sequins, and popped it up with a layer of Vanilla Coaster Board.
I had so much fun with my color combo, that I made another simple card with it. For this one, I used my new Watercolor Wings Photopolymer Stamp Set, and the same colors of ink. I used Black Memento ink for the butterfly body and the greeting.
To complete this card, I added some Basic Black Baker's Twine and some Rich Razzleberry Candy Dots. I popped the top layer up with Stampin' Dimensionals this time.
Well, that is all for today. I hope you'll join us at Can You Case It with a colorful creation of your own! Thanks for stopping by.
