Playing along with TGIFCTD01 and FMS189
June 07, 2015
Hello and welcome back! Today I have a card to share that I'm entering in two different challenges. The first is Freshly Made Sketches 189. Love this sketch. I substituted a butterfly for the circle shape in the sketch.
I also am entering this into the TGIF Challenges Blog's first Throw-Down challenge. This is a fun challenge like the food show where you can have a "pantry" of basic crafting supplies and a "basket" of 5-6 other items that change with each challenge.
So, here is my creation for this challenge. I'll have to admit, it was hard not to have colored cardstock or patterned paper to use. So, I spritzed the larger rectangle with Blushing Bride ink, and then stamped the circles in the same color but full strength ink. For the small rectangle, I spritzed with Blackberry Bliss ink, and then stamped the first part of the greeting in the full strength ink. I also dripped some of the Blackberry Bliss ink onto the card base from the Stampin' Spritzer.
To complete the card, I die cut a butterfly from the Gold Foil Cardstock, and also die cut the "you" part of the greeting form the same Gold Foil. I little White Baker's Twine was the final detail. The purple piece is also popped up on Stampin' Dimensionals. I think I actually used all of the "basket" items for this challenge. I used Neenah 80lb. cardstock for this since it's heavy enough to make a good card base.
Well, that is all for today. You'll find the supplies listed below. I'll have some more challenge entries and a blog hop to share later this week. Thanks for stopping by!
