Can You Case It #73 - Color Challenge
June 07, 2015
Hello and welcome back! It's time for another challenge over at Can You Case It, and this one is a color challenge. You'll love the variety of projects that our team came up with this week. These colors can be soft and romantic, or more clean and graphic looking. I went more in the clean and graphic direction this time.
Here is my card. I had fun mixing a lot of different patterns together including a text patterned paper, a floral stamped cardstock shape and a striped pattern I made with watercolor and markers on white cardstock. To make the stripes, I watercolored Sahara Sand ink in quarter inch stripes every half an inch. Then, I added a thin stripe of black ink using the .01 Project Life Marker and another stripe of Blushing Bride using the brush tip of the marker. I love how this turned out, so I'm sure I'll be using this technique again in the future.
I popped up the label shaped greeting on Stampin' Dimensionals, added a little pile of white thread under it and two rhinestones to the center of the flowers to complete the card.
Well, that is all for today! Hope you are having a terrific weekend. Thanks for stopping by.
