Can You Case It #63 - Sketch Challenge
March 29, 2015
Hello and welcome back! I have a card to share for this week's Can You Case It? sketch challenge. It's a really versatile sketch, and I adjusted the placement of my greeting to be part of the focal point.
I decided to let this beautiful tulip patterned paper do most of the hard work for me. The card base is Daffodil Delight, so I also added piece of Vellum Cardstock under the patterned paper to soften the top of the card. I added a piece of Pool Party (retired) Seam Binding Ribbon across the seam after scrunching it.
I stamped the greeting first. Then, I inked the tulips in Daffodil Delight first and colored the edges with a Tangelo Twist marker before stamping them above and below the greeting. I also layered the greeting to a starburst Tangelo Twist die cut. Below that I punched a few 2" circles of white filter paper, and piled them together offset. I adhered the stamped image to the filter paper circles, and then to the card with Stampin' Dimensionals. I added a Tangerine Tango Baker's Twine bow to complete the card.
Well, that is all for today! I hope you'll join us with a card following the sketch this week at the Can You Case It? blog. Thanks for stopping by!
