CYCI #54 - Designers Choice Challenge

Hello and welcome back! I'm back today with a card for the Can You Case It Challenge Blog. This week's theme is Designer's Choice, so we can make any type of project and use any prodcuts that we want. The sky is the limit!

I decided to play with some new Stampin' Up products that I received recently, including this Chalkboard Paper from the new Occasions Catalog and the Big Day Stamp Set from the Sale-a-bration Catalog. First I diecut Chalkboard Paper with the 3x4 card from the Project Life die set. I stamped the cake and the greeting with Versamark Ink, and then Heat Embossed in white. I used a Qtip to fill in the cake and the word "cake" with the Rose Coral Colorbox Chalk Ink Pad, and the cake stand with the Aquamarine Colorbox Chalk Ink Pad. It's subtle, but it does add just a bit of color. I also sponged some of the Whisper White Craft Ink around the edges of this piece. Then, I glued on some star sequins.

The card base is Whisper White, and the patterned paper is from the Best Year Ever Designer Series Paper, another Sale-a-bration choice that is free with a $50 purchase. I added some little piles of thread that I pulled from the Coastal Cabana Thick Baker's Twine under the chalkboard piece to complete the card, which is popped up on dimensionals.

Well, that is all for today. I hope you'll join us at the Can You Case It blog, and share a project that you've made! Thanks for stopping by.
