Try It - Creped Filter Paper 3

Hello, and welcome back! I have another project to share today using the Creped Filter Paper. I cut three strips 1"x6", and spritzed them with an ink and alcohol mixture in Strawberry Slush, Calypso Coral and Summer Starfruit. Then, I hand stitched a running stitch through the top of the pieces, and gathered them loosely into ruffles. I adhered them in rows onto a piece of Naturals White Cardstock 2 1/2"x5". There is a piece of Strawberry Slush Core'dinations Cardstock at the top of the ruffled panel. Before adhering it to the Naturals White card base, I stamped the dots from the Happy Watercolor Stamp Set in Summer Starfruit, stamping more than once before reinking. Then, the ruffled panel was adhered to the center of the card.

For the focal point, first I cut a piece of Naturals White Cardstock to 2 1/2" x 3 1/2" and covered it with Strawberry Slush patterned paper. I stitched around the outside edge of this panel with my sewing machine. I stamped the flower in Strawberry Slush onto Naturals White Cardstock, and die cut the flower. It was adhered to the stitched panel with Stampin' Dimensionals, and then I added a Summer Starfruit Dahlia to the center with a glue dot. The whole panel was adhered with more Stampin' Dimensionals.

Here is the ruffle in progress. Wow...my grid paper is really dirty...I mean covered in crafty goodness! Might be time to get out a new piece so my progress pictures look cleaner. I have a favorite color combo on it for now though, so will have to record it somewhere before I throw the grid paper away.
