Published Card - Chalkboard Bottom of My Heart

Hello there, and welcome back! It's finally starting to feel and look like spring around here. The birds have been chirping, and the squirrels are running around. The temperature is slightly warmer too, and I finally spotted the crocus peeking up and almost in bloom.

Today I thought I would share a card that was published in Paper Crafts magazine, back in their September/October issue. It was even highlighted on their blog in this post! It's about time I got around to sharing it here, don't you think? I make a chalkboard style greeting using the From My Heart stamp set, but actually stamped it on Midnight Muse cardstock. I stamped it in Whisper White Craft Ink, and heat embossed it in White Stampin' Emboss Powder. I also took a white watercolor pencil, and used it to color in the heart and also lightly shade the background.

The patterned papers and brads are retired now, but the Gumball Green ribbon is still available. It's hard to see in this photo, but I also stamped the Very Vanilla cardstock frame with the Woodgrain background stamp in Versamark and heat embossed it in Clear Stampin' Emboss Powder.

Well, that is all for today. I'll have another more recently published card to share next. Thanks for stopping by!
