Event Display Stamper Application
April 25, 2014
Hello, and welcome back! Hang on to your hats, as I have 6 projects to share today that will also be used as an application to be a display stamper for Stampin' Up! at their annual Convention in July. When I was on the Artisan Design Team in 2012-2013, I enjoyed making display samples for Leadership 2013. I would love the opportunity to do it again! Since there are so many pictures, I won't link supplies and will have basic info about each project. If you'd like more detail, please comment and I'd be happy to answer.
First up, the cards. The first one features the Happy Watercolor Stamp Set, which is heat embossed in white and colored in with markers on the back of the Vellum Cardstock. I also stamped the watercolor stamps onto watercolor paper, and spritzed with water so they would blend more.
Next, another card with warm and spring-like colors. I heat embossed the doilies onto Naturals White Cardstock, watercolored around them, and then ironed off the heat emossing. It looks like I watercolored a very elaborate background!
For this last card, I cut an oval from the Simply Pressed Clay, colored on the feather stamp with markers and then pressed it into the clay. I let it dry overnight, and then assembled the card. The colored panel to the left started out with markers colored in circles, and then I spritzed it to make the colors run.
Next up is a scrapbook page that I have shared here before. This is my cute and furry friend Monty. This page features the hexagon punch, some spritzing through a stencil I created with MDS and one of the Photopolymer stamp sets.
My first 3D project is a simple birthday banner. I die cut a piece of Canvas Creations using the Perfect Pennants Die, stamped the Abc-123 Outline Alphabet & Numbers for the word "happy" and then stitched a satin stich for the letters.
And, last but not least, a set of spring banners using the Backyard Basics Bundle. The base is Coasterboard, sponged and stamped with the Hardwood stamp. The next layer is Canvas Creations stamped with the Dictionary stamp which was sponged with ink. I also stamped the words into the Simply Pressed Clay, and made little tags out of them. Some Vintage Trinkets and Burlap Ribbon finish them off.
Whew, that is all for today. Wish me luck! Thanks for stopping by.
