Happy for Hexagons Challenge in the Moxie Fab World...Again

Hello and welcome back! I have another hexagon card to share for the Happy for Hexagons Challenge in the Moxie Fab World. I love playing with geometric shapes like hexagons and triangles. I'll be honest...you'll be seeing even more of these beauties around here in the near future. I just keep thinking of more ideas to try with these shapes. I'm sure I'll get back to flowers at some point in the future, but for now playing with shapes and bright colors is making me happy!

So, for today's card, I used the same hexagon punch and set of patterned papers as on yesterday's card. I used another sewing project as my inspiration. This time I stitched straight lines down a piece of Naturals White Cardstock with my sewing machine. The card base is made from the same paper, but I adhered a piece of Burlap Ribbon along the left side of the card. I adhered the two rows of hexagons down the side of the stitched panel.

To finish up this card, I stamped the greeting from the Six-Sided Sampler onto Crumb Cake Cardstock that was punched first with the Word Window Punch, and then the Hexagon Punch to make the flag end. I pierced a hole in the greeting, and then tied it to the stitched panel with Linen Thread in a bow. I adhered that whole piece to the card front with dimensional adhesive. There is also a Stampin' Dimensional under the greeting to pop it up and keep it in place.

So, today's project was inspired by this project from my Pinterest Sew Sew board. I loved the stitched lines, and the columns of hexagons.

I think I could make a throw similar to this for our bed. A few hex's and the rest simply white... Love it! Maybe reversible for the seasons?

Well, that is all for today. Thanks for stopping by! You'll find the supplies listed below.
