Artisan Wednesday Wow - Apr2

Welcome back! I'm so glad you could join the Stampin' Up! Artisan Design Team for our next April Blog Hop! You might have just arrived from Jeanna’s blog. If not, go back and check out her terrific project!

I decided to make a couple of cards for this week using the Pop-Up Posies Designer Kit. I love anything with flowers, and with the Calypso Coral and Pool Party colors you really can't go wrong with this kit! And there are lovely embossed, kraft labels...and fabric brads...loads of my favorite things all in one place! Makes a crafty girl happy. So, for the card base I used the floral print from the Natural Composition Specialty Designer Series Paper. I layered some of the patterns from the Print Poetry Designer Series Paper Stack to one side, along with half of a Tea Lace Paper Doily. The label is stamped with Primrose Petals ink and the stamp from the kit.

 

To make the focal flower, I scrunched 3 of the Calypso Coral flowers, punched out two 7/8" Scallop Circles from Very Vanilla, which I also scrunched and then layered them together with the Very Vanilla fabric brad from the kit. I love how these turned out, so don't be surprised if you see them around here again. This flower is finished off with some pieces of Summer Starfruit Stitched Satin Ribbon.

 

I made another version of the same card, but reversed the design. The background of this card is the music print from the Natural Composition papers.

 

To finish off my Pool Party flower, I used the Secret Garden Framelits Dies to cut Gumball Green cardstock, and then cut it into two pieces. The greeting is stamped in Midnight Muse.
