Artisan Wednesday Wow

Artisan Blog Logos-Main
Welcome back to my blog! This week  the Stampin’ Up Artisan Design Team is featuring our January Facebook projects in a blog hop format. And the best part is that from now on, we will have a weekly blog hop on Wednesdays so you can click through to see a weekly project from each of us. Isn’t that awesome!  You might have just arrived from Jeanna’s blog. If not, go back and look at her cute envelope book!

Love is in the air with all of the lovely coordinating products from the Stampin' Up More Amore suite of products! I wanted to make some cute Valentine's decorations to hang on the mirror in my front hallway. I started by separating the beautiful laser-cut hearts from the More Amore Designer Series Paper, added hearts with the Hearts Aflutter stamp set and matching Hearts Aflutter Framelits Dies and finished with the beautiful Artisan Design Elements. The 1/8" Narrow Grosgrain Ribbon in Very Vanilla was the perfect ribbon to tie it all together!

Below is a close-up of the largest heart cluster. I used the pretty lace in little sections behind each die cut heart and letter. To keep the piece balanced, I put the same laser-cut heart and die cut heart on the back. I just didn’t add the lace and Letter to the back because I think the piece will be stationary enough that the back won’t show.

Below is another close-up of the other hearts. I heat embossed the eyelet heart with Versamark Ink and White Stampin’ Emboss Powder on Real Red Card Stock. Then, I stamped in Real Red onto Pool Party Card Stock, and die cut the heart. I added a small bow-tie from one of the trims in the Artisan Embellishments Kit. The next biggest heart is stamped with Primrose Petals ink onto the Pool Party Doily patterned paper, and die cut. I punched a small heart from the chevron patterned paper, and added Stampin’ Dimensionals and a pearl. The smallest heart is die cut and simply has an In Color Dahlia attached to it. Again, with these hearts, I added the paper heart layers to the back, but left off the ribbon, pearls and dahlias.
