Artisan Design Team Projects for September 2012 Bonus
October 01, 2012
I have a bonus project for my Artisan Design Team projects for September, 2012 (even though it is October 1st)! Today I am again featuring the Halloween products that I received this month. I have seen some really cute Halloween decorated paper houses, and decided to make my own using the Howlstooth and Scaringbone Designer Series Paper that we received in October. First I cut chipboard down to 2" x 4". Then, I cut off the corners at different angles to change the shapes of the houses. I also cut 2" x 2" chipboard squares for the bases, and covered all of the chipboard pieces with the patterned paper. The tops are attached to the bottoms with some masking tape on the back, and also a piece of black cardstock attached to the house and the base. I also used the Silver Foil Smooch Spritz to spray black cardstock, then I trimmed some for the banner under the owl, the circle backing the web stamped image and the branch die cut. I also trimmed the leaves on the die cut shape down so it looks like a bare tree. The banners are attached to a flat toothpick, which I colored with a black marker. These are pretty simple. I could have added lots more details and embellishments, but I decided I liked them as is. I hope you do too!
