2012 Artisan Design Team Entries Blog Hop-Scrapbook Page 1
August 21, 2012
Welcome back to the 2012 Artisan Design Team Blog Hop! Today, we continue featuring our winning entries for the 2012 Artisan Design Team Contest with a scrapbook page. If you are following the hop, then you probably arrived from Jeanna Bohanon's blog. Didn't you just love her project! We'll be featuring our winning projects for 10 days straight.
Here is my second project for the hop, one of the three scrapbook pages that I submitted.
I had the idea for this page for almost a year. I have lots of pictures of my father in various stages of his life wearing either cowboy boots, a cowboy hat or both. So, I was happy when this western set was added to the Stampin' Up catalog. I stamped several images, colored them, cut them out and then added them to circles cut from the newsprint paper along with other circles cut from patterned paper. The letters are die cut from the wood sheets we used to sell. (I miss those!) I printed the pictures out in square format, matted them with naturals white cardstock, and inked the edges so they looked a little antiqued. I think that's about it for this page.
