Welcome to the next stop on the 2012 Artisan Design Team Blog Hop! Today, we start featuring our winning entries for the 2012 Artisan Design Team Contest, starting with a card. If you are following the hop, then you probably arrived from Jeanna Bohanon's blog. She made all of her entries using My Digital Studio! We'll be featuring our winning projects for the next 10 days.
Here is my first project for the hop, one of the five cards that I submitted.
This card was the only project that got a makeover before I turned it in. After I made the first draft I decided that the snowmen were too small to be the focal point they were supposed to be. So, I reduced the overall size of the card, and added a stuffed tree to the two snowmen. To make the three stuffed items, I stamped in craft ink on plain muslin fabric, put the stamped image over another square of muslin fabric with part of a cotton ball in between, stitched around the image, and then trimmed around the stitching. I love how they turned out!
I decorated the inside of all of my cards this year, so here is the inside:
Stamps: Merry Winter
Ink: Craft Old Olive, Craft Marina Mist, Craft Early Espresso, Classic Blushing Bride, Classic Basic Black
Paper: Shimmer White, First Edition Specialty DSP, Twitterpated DSP, Subtles Patterns DSP Stack, Bashful Blue CardstockAccessories: White Waffle Paper, White Baker’s Twine, Blushing Bride Smooch Spritz, Paper Piercer, Blushing Bride ½” Stitched Poly Ribbon, 1 ¼” Circle Punch, 1 3/8” Circle Punch, muslin fabric, embroidery floss, Stampin’ Dimensionals, staples, Crop-a-dile, Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack, Champagne Mist Shimmer Paint, quilt batting, Big Shot Multipurpose Adhesive Sheets
