2012 Artisan Design Team Entries Blog Hop-Card 1

Artisanbloghop

Welcome to the next stop on the 2012 Artisan Design Team Blog Hop! Today, we start featuring our winning entries for the 2012 Artisan Design Team Contest, starting with a card. If you are following the hop, then you probably arrived from Jeanna Bohanon's blog. She made all of her entries using My Digital Studio! We'll be featuring our winning projects for the next 10 days.

Here is my first project for the hop, one of the five cards that I submitted.

SnowmenOutside

This card was the only project that got a makeover before I turned it in. After I made the first draft I decided that the snowmen were too small to be the focal point they were supposed to be. So, I reduced the overall size of the card, and added a stuffed tree to the two snowmen. To make the three stuffed items, I stamped in craft ink on plain muslin fabric, put the stamped image over another square of muslin fabric with part of a cotton ball in between, stitched around the image, and then trimmed around the stitching. I love how they turned out!

I decorated the inside of all of my cards this year, so here is the inside:
