More Halloween Cards

I have been using my Silhouette machine more lately. I downloaded some Halloween shapes a couple of weeks ago, one being the witch boots on this card. They have been sitting on my desk, waiting for me to do something with them! I decided since my last batch of cards had lots of details, that I would try to keep these more simple (which is easier to do with more modern shapes anyway!). Plus, I wanted to play with my stash of glitter. I really like how these turned out. I really love making both vintage/elegant/complex cards, but I also love making modern/simple cards too. Is it possible to have two styles? Anyway, I hope you enjoy them, and have a fun Halloween with your family and friends, whatever your plans may be.

Fright-spiration from Moxie Fab World Blog

I have been playing around with some Halloween items in my craft room lately, and it's high time to post again. I've had these Vintage Workshop CDs with vintage images for some time, and I also had some canvas "paper" that could be printed on. So, I printed up several of the Halloween images, and made some cards. I ironed the canvas onto paper, and in some cases also stitched it to the next layer. For the layouts and finishing touches, I took lots of inpiration from Betsy Veldman's blog, Melissa Phillip's blog and the Paper Crafts site. I also created my own scrunchy ribbon with some rayon seam binding and my glimmer mists. I even added the glimmer mist to some lace that I had on hand from a scrap bag. It feels good to get out some treasures that I already had on hand, and use them! I hope you enjoy my creations. Thanks for stopping by.

And, one more card with a modern twist. I cut the witch shoes with my Silhouette, and laced the boots with green silk ribbon. I really like how this one turned out also!
